Senior Cybersecurity Architect
Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and audit highly secure and resilient network architectures for enterprise and government clients. You'll lead threat modeling exercises, vulnerability assessments, and security audits while establishing security frameworks that protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data.
This role requires deep expertise in network security, cryptography, threat intelligence, and security architecture across cloud and on-premises environments. You'll work on cutting-edge security challenges including zero-trust architectures, quantum-resistant cryptography, and AI-powered threat detection systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade security architectures for complex, multi-cloud environments
- Conduct comprehensive threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses
- Lead security audits and penetration testing initiatives to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
- Develop security policies, standards, and frameworks aligned with industry best practices (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Implement zero-trust security models and defense-in-depth strategies
- Design secure network segmentation, access controls, and identity management systems
- Research and implement emerging security technologies including post-quantum cryptography
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation strategies
- Provide security consulting to clients and internal teams on best practices and emerging threats

- 8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in architecture roles
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Required: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent senior security certification
- Preferred: OSCP, CEH, GIAC certifications (GPEN, GCIH, GCIA)
- Experience with government/DoD security requirements (RMF, FedRAMP) strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience conducting security audits and compliance assessments
