Lead Interactive Systems Developer

Game Design/Development Full-Time Remote

Position Overview

Oversee full lifecycle of game and simulation projects from concept to deployment. Focus on engine selection, physics systems, rendering pipelines, and gameplay mechanics. Lead development of serious games, training simulations, and interactive experiences across VR/AR platforms.

This role requires expertise in real-time 3D graphics, game engines, and interactive system design. You'll work on projects ranging from entertainment games to scientific visualizations and training simulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead game and simulation development using Unity, Unreal Engine, or custom engines
  • Design and implement gameplay systems, mechanics, and interactive features
  • Develop physics systems, collision detection, and real-time simulation
  • Optimize rendering pipelines for performance across platforms (PC, console, mobile, VR)
  • Implement multiplayer networking and server architecture
  • Create AI systems for NPC behavior, pathfinding, and decision-making
  • Develop tools and pipelines for asset integration and level design
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and stakeholders on project vision
  • Implement VR/AR interactions and immersive experiences
  • Lead code reviews and establish development best practices

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of game development experience with shipped titles
  • Expert knowledge of Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Strong C# or C++ programming skills
  • Deep understanding of 3D mathematics, graphics, and rendering
  • Experience with full game development pipeline from concept to release
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field
  • Portfolio demonstrating shipped games or interactive projects
  • Experience with VR/AR development preferred
